Code of Ethics

     I.   The ethical IFCO Doctor of Chiropractic practices within the scope of practice as spelled out in the Constitution and By-Laws of the International Federation of Chiropractors and Organizations (IFCO).

    II.   The ethical Doctor of Chiropractic does not suggest or imply verbally or in writing or by any other means, that chiropractors offer to diagnose, treat, or cure any disease or condition whatsoever except vertebral subluxations.

   III.   The ethical Doctor of Chiropractic does not intentionally disseminate false or misleading information regarding chiropractic, as define in the IFCO’s Constitution and By-Laws, or deliberately withhold true and accurate information from any who seek it or could conceivably benefit from it.

   IV.   The ethical Doctor of Chiropractic will not willfully support morally, financially, or in any other way, any chiropractic or related organization whose policies and aims are inconsistent with the Constitution and By-Laws of the International Federation of Chiropractors and Organizations.

   V.    The ethical Doctor of Chiropractic does not refuse chiropractic care to any human being regardless of race, religion, sex or national origin.

   VI.   The ethical Doctor of Chiropractic takes affirmative action to educate the community about the principles of chiropractic as outlined in the IFCO’s Constitution and By-Laws.

   VII.  The ethical Doctor of Chiropractic engages in practices which are in keeping with the consumer’s rights to privacy and quality chiropractic care at reasonable fees and with complete and honest disclosure of all relevant information.
